Show for all ages: by Deux filles au chant (alias Claire Garrigue and Fabienne Morel)
As well as storytelling, Claire Garrigue and Fabienne Morel share a passion for traditional song. They are gradually realising that some of the songs they love so much resonate with parts of their family histories, and vice versa. These are open-air songs that have been telling stories by word of mouth since the dawn of time. Songs like so many leaves that fall from the two storytellers' family trees, living fragments that vibrate with their breath. And like an echo to the songs, come the life stories of their parents and grandparents, which suddenly resonate in a universal way. Songs of ageless stories, of happy and unhappy loves past and present.
Stories of men's beating hearts, of uprootedness and deep-rootedness. Naughty, light-hearted songs too, about pleasure and life. A show to listen to and respond to, inviting everyone into their own story, through songs from Brittany, Normandy, Centre France and Quebec.
