In the heart of central Brittany, Lac de Guerlédan is the result of the construction of a hydroelectric dam on the river Blavet. The lake was created in 1930, making it the largest artificial lake in Brittany, with a surface area of 304 hectares, a length of 12 kilometres and a depth of 45 metres at the foot of the dam.
