Le Lake Guerlédan is the largest man-made lake in Brittany, nestling in the hills and submerging the old lock-keeper life since its impoundment in 1930. This landscape, so typical of our Central Brittany region, is the ideal place for a whole host of outdoor activities! Plan a hike from round the lake or borrow the other tours around.

Every year, many walkers and runners take to the paths for a 40km tour! On the programme: adrenalin, breathtaking scenery, and coolness by the water.

For the more adventurous, the 40km hike can be done in a day, starting at dawn and finishing in the evening, combining all the colours that nature has to offer in the space of a few hours.

For the more contemplative, the tour can be spread over 2 or 3 days, enjoying a swim, a moment of relaxation by the water, or a snack. For a well-deserved night's rest, between the various stages, there are accommodation are close to the lake, whether it's a gîte, a chambre d'hôte or a campsite, you're sure to find something to suit you!

To help you prepare for your walk, take the map of the tour of the lake, where you'll find 7 possible starting points, the various viewpoints and places of interest, as well as tourist facilities.

Put on your hiking boots, fill your water bottle with fresh water, and don't forget a snack to give you a boost of energy, and set off along the trails! To capture the best views, the sites are represented by a pictogram on the map.
